Taste of the Town
Resolute Health is officially one of the newest sponsors for the New Braunfels Taste of the Town, which was founded by the NBISD Foundation to support students and educators of the NBISD family. The event will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the McKenna Events Center. Local restaurants will provide sample “tastes” of the best from their menus in support of the foundation as well as sponsorships opportunities can be bought from any participant from Taste of the Town. Tickets are on sale now, $35.00 each at the NBISD Education Center on Mill Street or Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper Realtors on Seguin Street. We hope you’ll join us and show your support of the NBISD Education Foundation!

Job Fair & Showcase Seguin
Resolute Health is proud to announce that we will be at the Seguin job fair Wednesday March 7th between 2pm & 3pm. We would like to invite any potential employees interested in Resolute Health to stop by for more information and come be a part of our Resolute family!
Along with the job fair, Resolute Health has officially become a gold sponsor for Showcase Seguin and will have a booth set up for anyone interested in knowing more about Resolute and our Center of Wellbeing. Showcase Seguin will start promptly at 3pm and continue until 8pm. This event will offer food, live entertainment, door prizes as well as many networking opportunities.

DASH 4 DAWN
Angel Drops is officially promoting the second annual DASH 4 DAWN, 5K for adults and 1K for children, in San Marcos. DASH 4 DAWN proceeds go to local school tracks and events to promote a healthy and active life for children. The event will start at 8am for the 5K and 9am for the 1K, Saturday March 31st, at Crockett Elementary School in San Marcos. New Braunfels Family YMCA St. Patty’s Day 5K Walk/Run
Resolute Health is a sponsor for the YMCA St. Patty’s Day 5K Walk/Run. Not only will there be a 5K walk/run, but also a “youth mini race”, after party at Landa Park (with food, DJ and YMCA classes) and St. Patty’s Day celebration at a local restaurant.

Hill Country Times spotlighted how students and seniors participating in the Sow Healthy intergenerational are donating crops to the S.O.S. Food Bank in New Braunfels. World Diabetes Day
On World Diabetes Day, the LCRA building in New Braunfels hosted a health fair to honor its observance. Resolute Health took part in the event by providing info on diabetes prevention and management. As a special show of support, the LCRA building was lit in blue, the universal color for diabetes awareness. Take a look at the pictures we snapped below.

Resolute Health Community Health Fair
The Resolute Health Center for Wellbeing is now open and serving our community, and we recently invited the community out to see what we’re all about. The afternoon event included:
- Free health screenings
- Free cooking demonstrations and healthy food sampling
- Prize drawings and giveaways
- Free information on diabetes management and prevention
- Free diabetes-friendly smoothies and snacks
- Walk through the ABCs of diabetes
All in all, the community health fair was a huge success, and we had a great time meeting fresh new faces from across the counties we serve. We at Resolute Health can’t wait to host more community events like this in the future.
