Focusing on diabetes, preventive care and nutrition
The Resolute Health Center for Wellbeing provides people with diabetes who live in and near Comal, Guadalupe and southern Hays Counties with full health and wellness options for complete care. This allows more people to stay in our area for care, rather than having to go to San Antonio or Austin.
Services
The center provides a team approach to complete care and support for youth and adults with diabetes, including:
- Diabetes medical management
- Personalized self-management training
- Medical nutrition therapy
- New programs that meet specific patient goals
- Insulin pump initiation management
- Glucose monitoring
- Convenient class times and clinic hours
- Fitness center
- Interactive cooking demos
- Bilingual and Spanish-speaking staff

Mission
There is a 12% rate of diabetes in Comal County alone, and if left untreated that rate is expected to jump to 25% of the population by 2040. So we’re getting proactive to make sure that this doesn’t become a reality for our community. The Center for Wellbeing brings together specialized doctors, personalized treatment plans and state-of-the-art medicine to help those with diabetes. But more importantly, the center focuses on programs and initiatives that improve the health status of our community.
Center For Excellence
The Center for Wellbeing has been nationally recognized by the American Association of Diabetes Educators as a Center for Excellence for comprehensive and effective diabetes self-management education to all patients.
