Mark Bernard is the CEO for Resolute Baptist Hospital. He brings more than 35 years of hospital leadership experience to the hospital. Prior to Resolute, Mark served as CEO at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Houston, as CEO for Northeast Methodist
and Metropolitan Methodist hospitals in San Antonio and as CEO of Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio. Mark also led Garland Community Hospital in Garland, Texas as CEO, held the position of COO at Physicians’ Community Hospital in San
Leandro, California and was Assistant Vice President of Valley Health Enterprises in Sacramento, CA.
Mark holds a Master of Arts in Hospital Administration and a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Iowa. He has held numerous board positions including on the Incarnate Word Retirement Center, YMCA, Randolph Metrocom Chamber of Commerce and the
Randolph Metrocom Rotary. Mark has been married for 31 years and has two grown children. He is an avid outdoorsman.
