Scheduling & Visitor Restrictions

We will be rescheduling some patient appointments and procedures in an effort to protect our patients and staff. Conserving personal protective equipment helps us prioritize the needs of those who may require immediate care. Adjustments to scheduled procedures and appointments will be made as requested by the physician, patient or as required by official local or national public health authorities. We will contact you directly if your appointment or procedure is postponed until a later date. During this time, all Resolute Health Hospital facilities will remain open to care for patients who require in-person visits and time-sensitive care. Thank you for understanding our need to take these measures for the safety of all.

Visitor Restrictions

Visitor Guidelines for COVID-19

Effective on 5/18/2020

Thank you for choosing Resolute Health Hospital for your healthcare needs. It is our privilege to care for you during your stay with us.

We are closely monitoring the outbreak of the novel (new) coronavirus (COVID-19), and we continue to work with the City of New Braunfels, Comal County Office of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to respond to any COVID-19 cases in our area.

Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure your safety and that of your family, we have instituted a no-visitor policy at Resolute Health Hospital effective immediately. Only a few exceptions will be made and with stringent screening processes in place.

Exceptions include:

  • Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Units
    • One individual who is appointed as the family’s sole designated visitor to visit throughout the entire course of the patient’s stay
  • NICU and Pediatric Units
    • Two individuals who are appointed as the family’s designated visitor to visit throughout the entire course of the patient’s stay
  • Acute Rehabilitation Unit
    • One individual who is appointed as the family’s sole designated visitor to visit throughout the entire course of the patient’s stay

NOTE:

  • Designated visitors must remain symptom free of any illness
  • Children of antepartum patients will be considered for visitation on a case-by-case basis
  • No minors under the age of 16 will be allowed
  • All visitors must undergo a rigorous screening process that includes a series of questions related to travel, and an analysis for fever and respiratory symptoms.

Thank you for your understanding of our need to ensure your safety and that of our patients and staff during this county and federally declared public health emergency.

Please communicate these policies with your loved ones. And, please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of our care team or a clinical manager who can help address your questions or concerns.

We are committed to keeping our patients, our staff and our community safe. It is our privilege to serve you.

Restrictions for Hospital Entry/Exit

We are limiting entry points to facilitate visitor screening.

An exception to any limited visitation policy at the hospital is patients with disabilities who require support from family members or staff in order for them to effectively communicate with medical personnel or otherwise receive equal access to medical treatment.
