Care for Life’s Emergencies
When life-threatening situations occur, you can rely on Resolute Health Hospital to offer full-service emergency care. Our ER department treats illnesses ranging from broken bones to life-threatening injuries — all delivered by highly trained doctors and triage nurses.
Resolute is dedicated to providing you a short emergency room wait time, with wait times averaging 9 minutes or less to see a doctor — far shorter than the national average ER wait time of 24 minutes.
Specialized Emergency Care
Cardiac arrest, stroke and trauma are three frequent causes for emergency room visits. These life-threatening conditions require immediate care that our emergency room staff is well-equipped to provide. Immediate action and attention at Resolute Health Hospital works to save lives.
We focus on treating strokes as quickly as possible in order to prevent brain damage and death. Quick medical care can save brain cells and increase chances of recovery. Knowing the signs and symptoms of stroke can help get care as soon as possible. Stroke symptoms include:
- Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
- Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
- Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
- Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- Sudden, severe headache with no known cause
When you come to the Resolute Health Hospital emergency room suffering from a heart attack or myocardial infarction, you’ll undergo prompt testing to find if a blockage is present in your heart. Blockages are treated with medication or in the hospital’s cath lab.
